These are the words of Jesus Christ, as we read today in the Gospel (LK 11:15-26). The Son of God is extremely merciful and patient waiting for our conversion. But at the same time, He is crystal clear on the path of our salvation. "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6) Friends, we tend to look to alternative ways to the truth, especially in these pandemic times. However, the reality is that either we are working with Jesus Christ or we are working against Him. He said, ”Whoever is not with me is against me." Our Rosary is a reminder of this fundamental truth. In today's Gospel, Jesus points out that all people, even little children, have a guardian angel in heaven watching over us and looking at the face of God throughout their mission on earth (Matthew 18:10). It is also written that the Lord Jesus was strengthened by an angel in the Garden of Gethsemane and that an angel delivered St. Peter from prison. So each of us has an angelic guardianship from our birth and until death. These spirits – servants and messengers from God; "Angel" in Greek means messenger – guide us to heaven only if we desire it. Because, as St. Thomas Aquinas wrote, angels cannot act directly upon our will or intellect. Today's feast, which appeared in Spain during the sixteenth century, is an invitation to pray to our guardian angels. They assist us on our earthly pilgrimage by helping us in temptation and protecting us from physical danger. With such bodyguards, what are we to fear? As St. Bernard of Clairvaux, wrote, "As often as you sense the approach of any grave temptation or some crushing sorrow hangs over you, invoke your protector, your leader, your helper in every situation. Call out to him and say: Lord, save us, we are perishing." The prayer to the guardian angels has been present in the Church since at least the beginning of the 12th century: Angel of God, my Guardian dear, to whom His love commits me here, ever this day be at my side, to light and guard, to rule and guide. Many miracles have been attributed to her intercession. St. Thérèse of Lisieux was a French Carmelite nun who died of tuberculosis at the age of 24 in 1897. Her interior life is known through her autobiography called Story of a Soul. She inspired millions by her "little way" of always performing little acts of charity, along with little sacrifices not caring how unimportant they seemed. St. Thérèse wrote, "Our Lord does not look so much at the greatness of our actions, nor even at their difficulty, but at the love with which we do them." Declared Doctor of the Church by Pope John Paul II, St Therese said, “Jesus does not demand great actions from us but simply surrender and gratitude.” [Written by Mikel A | The Rosary Network, New York] — For following the example of St. Thérèse of Lisieux, who devoted herself to living a life of holiness, doing all things with love and childlike trust in God. St. Thérèse of Lisieux had childlike confidence in God's providence and merciful love, being ready to be at the service of others at all times. She understood that Love was everything, that it embraced all times and places. She was the third woman to be proclaimed Doctor of the Church, after Saint Catherine of Siena and Saint Teresa of Avila.

And wisdom, as St. James writes in his third letter of the New Testament, is peaceable, gentle, full of mercy, and good fruits. Here on earth, as we stumble we regrettably follow unspiritual, even demonic practices. One comes from the lack of control of our tongue. As James, the Apostle says our tongue is full of evil and deadly poison, especially when we curse people. Too many times, our tongue sets on fire the entire course of life. They all three have important roles in the history of salvation. Their existence is a truth of faith. They are heavenly beings, servants, or messengers of God. They are pure, created spirits, non-corporeal; they have intellect and will, and are immortal. Saint Michael is the "Prince of the Heavenly Host," the leader of all the good Ángels who fight against Satan and evil spirits. He is the protector of all humanity from the snares of the devil. St. Gabriel was the angel chosen by God to be the messenger of the Annunciation. St Gabriel announced to mankind the mystery of the Incarnation of the Word in the womb of Mary. His greeting to the Virgin, "Hail Mary, full of grace," is the foundation of Hail Mary's prayer and the Holy's Rosary. Saint Raphael, whose name means "God has healed", appeared to St. Joseph and to the shepherds, and strengthened Jesus during his agony in the garden of Gethsemane.
