Today's reading (Lk 13:22-30) poses a question that people have been asking forever. "Lord, will only a few people be saved?" Jesus Christ said: "Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for many, I tell you, will attempt to enter but will not be strong enough." When asked about specifics, Jesus Christ answered this way. In other passages, the Son of God explained that the mercy of the Father is infinite. In John 14:2, He says: "In My Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and welcome you into my presence, so that you also may be where I am." The message of Christ is clear: "Do not let your hearts be troubled. It's not only the Vatican, the hierarchy, and the Bishops. It's all of us. We say nice things, but do not follow with our example. Simply, we don't live by the example. And that's why unfaithful people do not feel attracted to the eternal truth. We might not change this situation easily. At least, let's not fall into spiritual pride, and say that we are doing well.
