Jesus Christ suffered a sorrowful passion that culminated with a death in the Cross. God knew his Son will endure. Now Jesus Christ is the King of the Universe and reigns gloriously forever. Should we, humans, be tested? There is no Glorious Sunday without a Sorrowful Friday. The Cross that signals the suffering and the Resurrection is what makes us precious, invaluable. Each one of us will be tested sooner or later. We need to be prepared — and the mysteries of the Holy Rosary are an excellent tool. Hard praying is what gives grace and wisdom to understand reality. The Devil will try to take advantage of our weakness to confuse us. When that Via Crucis arrives, we should react calmly, give thanks, and offer our struggle in reparation of our offenses to God and for the conversion of sinners. Over 70,000 people witnessed the "Miracle of the Sun." Newspapers of that time described an incredible event that lasted ten minutes. The sun zig-zagged in the sky and emitted multicolored light and radiant colors. In addition, the clothes of pilgrims, which were soaked due to intense rain, immediately drought without any rational explanation. The Miracle of Fatima was the sixth apparition of the Holy Virgin and showed once again the control over the nature of the Divinity. It was a heavenly seal to confirm the messages of Fatima. In this apparition, Our Lady of the Rosary warned the world by talking to the children: "Do not offend God anymore, because he is already too much offended." On October 12, 1492, Christopher Columbus first sighted American land, and then the first Mass in the Americas was celebrated. The origin of the Virgin of the Pillar dates back to the year 40 A.D. Saint James the Apostle, along with eight disciples, was praying on the bank of the river Ebro in Saragossa, Spain. He received at that time an apparition of the Virgin Mary with the Child Jesus standing on a pillar. It was the first Marian apparition in history and it took place during the earthly life of Mary. The Holy Virgin comforted James and his disciples and ask them to build a church on the site. She promised that this church would "stand from that moment until the end of time in order that God may work miracles and wonders through my intercession for all those who place themselves under my patronage." This church, today a magnificent building in Saragossa, is the first one dedicated to Mary. It has survived invasions and wars. This was her preoccupation. "If I die, those who are praying now might blame God," she said to me very sad. "And this is unfair." Jesus Christ prayed in the Garden knowing what was ahead, and despite his sorrowful passion, He fully embraced the Father’s will. The Blessed Virgin Mary did exactly the same.
