• October 20, 2021, Rosary Today 7:30 pm ET, YouTube.com/TheRosaryNetwork • Audio Podcast available by 6:00 pm ET God the Father tested his dearly beloved Son like any other human ever has been challenged. Jesus Christ suffered a sorrowful passion that culminated with a death in the Cross. God knew his Son will endure. Now Jesus Christ is the King of the Universe and reigns gloriously forever. Should we, humans, be tested? There is no Glorious Sunday without a Sorrowful Friday. The Cross that signals the suffering and the Resurrection is what makes us precious, invaluable. Each one of us will be tested sooner or later. We need to be prepared — and the mysteries of the Holy Rosary are an excellent tool. Hard praying is what gives grace and wisdom to understand reality. The Devil will try to take advantage of our weakness to confuse us. When that Via Crucis arrives, we should react calmly, give thanks, and offer our struggle in reparation of our offenses to God and for the conversion of sinners. And life will go on, with our souls a little bit more purified. Ave Maria! Jesus, I Trust In You! + Mikel A. | TheRosaryNetwork.org, New York
• October 13, 2021, Rosary Today 7:30 pm ET, YouTube.com/TheRosaryNetwork • Audio Podcast available by 6:00 pm ET On October 13, 1917, the most crowded miracle ever took place in Fatima, Portugal, exactly as the Virgin Mary promised to the three shepherd children that it'd happen. Over 70,000 people witnessed the "Miracle of the Sun." Newspapers of that time described an incredible event that lasted ten minutes. The sun zig-zagged in the sky and emitted multicolored light and radiant colors. In addition, the clothes of pilgrims, which were soaked due to intense rain, immediately drought without any rational explanation. The Miracle of Fatima was the sixth apparition of the Holy Virgin and showed once again the control over the nature of the Divinity. It was a heavenly seal to confirm the messages of Fatima. In this apparition, Our Lady of the Rosary warned the world by talking to the children: "Do not offend God anymore, because he is already too much offended." It was a solemn reminder about the disastrous consequences of sin, meaning eternal damnation in Hell. Ave Maria! Jesus, I Trust In You! • October 12, 2021, Rosary Today 7:30 pm ET, YouTube.com/TheRosaryNetwork • Audio Podcast available by 6:00 pm ET We celebrate today Our Lady of Pillar, Nuestra Señora del Pilar, the patron of Spain and all Hispanic peoples. On October 12, 1492, Christopher Columbus first sighted American land, and then the first Mass in the Americas was celebrated. The origin of the Virgin of the Pillar dates back to the year 40 A.D. Saint James the Apostle, along with eight disciples, was praying on the bank of the river Ebro in Saragossa, Spain. He received at that time an apparition of the Virgin Mary with the Child Jesus standing on a pillar. It was the first Marian apparition in history and it took place during the earthly life of Mary. The Holy Virgin comforted James and his disciples and ask them to build a church on the site. She promised that this church would "stand from that moment until the end of time in order that God may work miracles and wonders through my intercession for all those who place themselves under my patronage." This church, today a magnificent building in Saragossa, is the first one dedicated to Mary. It has survived invasions and wars. Even in the Spanish Civil War, three bombs were dropped there by the communists and none of them exploded. Ave Maria! Jesus, I Trust In You! • October 11, 2021, Rosary Today 7:30 pm ET, YouTube.com/TheRosaryNetwork • Audio Podcast available by 6:00 pm ET Today is the feast of St. John XXIII, a contemporary pope best known for convening the Second Vatican Council. Also, today is the feast of the Divine Maternity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Across history, heretics have refused to honor Mary as Mother of God. The Holy Virgin is also the mother of the Universal Church, the Mystical Body of Jesus Christ. Mary is the co-redemptrix and mediatrix of all grace. Without the Fiat of Mary, we wouldn't be here. It is profoundly ungrateful to deny the role of the Blessed Mother. The humility of Mary is the foundational virtue to imitate and cultivate. We miss this, and won't be able to follow properly Jesus Christ. Ave Maria! Jesus, I Trust In You! + Mikel A. | TheRosaryNetwork.org, New York
• October 10, 2021, Rosary Today 7:30 pm ET, YouTube.com/TheRosaryNetwork • Audio Podcast available by 6:00 pm ET Jesus and Mary listen to all the prayers of the faithful. However, how unfathomable it is, we are unable to understand the Divine Will. My wife Maria Blanca, who is under intense pain day after day in the ICU of burned patients, was yesterday concerned about the faith of those who might be disappointed if she doesn’t recover. This was her preoccupation. "If I die, those who are praying now might blame God," she said to me very sad. "And this is unfair." Jesus Christ prayed in the Garden knowing what was ahead, and despite his sorrowful passion, He fully embraced the Father’s will. The Blessed Virgin Mary did exactly the same. Countless saints and anonymous individuals have offered their suffering for the salvation of souls. Life is eternal and great rewards await those who remain close to Jesus and Mary. Ave Maria!
