It will be a dramatic, final judgment day. For each one of us, it will be the moment of all or nothing. In the light of God, we will face eternity forever — once being purified in purgatory — or everlasting fire. People who go to hell hate themselves because they have offended God so much. Anyone who has lived and died in grace will be saved. Mind you, Heaven, which is the Communion of Saints, is not a free gift, and certainly not a destination for everyone. Martinez revealed that he dispensed Maria Blanca attending Mass when she was about to enter the hospital. But my wife responded: "I cannot live without the Eucharist." "You've lost just physically Maria Blanca. We believe in the Communion of Saints, and you'll see Maria Blanca transformed. Our beloved relatives enter the new life." Ave Maria! La Almudena was a medieval statue that protected Madrid in the 11th century against the Muslims. La Almudena was the image that accompanied Maria Blanca during her two-month stay in hospital — the one you see along with the picture of my holy wife. In the last three weeks, we also added Our Lady of Fatima. I remember the day we bought the image of La Almudena, three years ago, after mass in the magnificent Cathedral of Madrid. The Virgin Mary has always been present in our life. While she was in intensive care, Maria Blanca shared with me that some days she felt the presence of the Blessed Mother. The Lamb of God defeated sin and darkness by giving his own life. Following Jesus often requires an immense sacrifice. My holy wife, Maria Blanca, self-denied herself in her last two months of life on Earth, submitting herself to the Divine Will. She never complained, despite her desire to enjoy life with her husband. She was about to come out of the hospital recovered and purified. We were so excited, with so many plans. That was our momentum. We both agreed that her disease and stay in intensive care was worth it because it ended up bringing us closer. Divine plans were different, though. She’d be cured and eternally happy, but not here on Earth. In this regard, my family and I rejoice. We know we have an advocate that will intercede for us with the Saints, the Blessed Virgin Mary, and Jesus Christ. Through prayer, we are starting to discern this. As a family, we have accepted the carrying of the Cross. This acceptance gives us comfort and alleviates pain. But, still, it is a lot of pain. Maria Blanca, facing extreme physical pain, offered herself as a victim in expiation of sin. Are we able to follow her legacy? Ave Maria! She was at peace, dressed in white and gold color robes. Renato said that the Lord made him understand that the time that Maria Blanca spent in adoration in front of the Blessed Sacrament delighted Jesus Christ. In her last two months at the Hospital, my holy wife offered herself as a victim in expiation of sins. That’s why she didn’t complain in her extreme pain, with 40% of her body burned, almost blind, and paralyzed in an ICU bed. Doctors and nurses were amazed. In the first week in intensive care, and out of options, they allowed me to stay with her for hours every day. I was hopeful that her suffering would end up soon as a result of so many prayers worldwide. The passing of Maria Blanca shocked our entire family, and still does. Now we are convinced that she is cured of her terrible disease and is in a much better place, interceding for our faith and salvation. She put herself at the foot of the Cross, and that’s exactly what we need to do, regardless of our suffering and poor faith. Ave Maria!
