• June 20, 2021, Holy Rosary Today 7:30 pm ET, YouTube.com/TheRosaryNetwork • Audio Podcast available by 7:00 pm ET We see today in the Gospel of Mark (Mk 4:35-41) how Jesus Christ has dominance over the wind and sea. The wind ceased at His command. In his control over nature and the entire universe, the living God encourages us to have faith and not be concerned about tomorrow. "Do not worry about tomorrow; tomorrow will take care of itself," says Jesus (Mt 6:24-34) If the Almighty asks us this, why we are so upset about what's upcoming? It's the lack of the three theological virtues: faith, hope, and charity — that we remind at the beginning of the Rosary. This absence of light leads us to fear, and fear is the door to darkness. Trust in Jesus and our heavenly Mother is all that we need. Ave Maria! Jesus, I Trust In You! + Mikel A. | TheRosaryNetwork.org, New York
• June 13, 2021, Holy Rosary Today 7:30 pm ET, YouTube.com/TheRosaryNetwork • Audio Podcast available by 7:00 pm ET On June 13, 1917, the Virgin Mary appeared for the second time to the three shepherd children at the Cova da Iria in Fatima, Portugal. The Blessed Mother presented a whole spirituality centered on devotion to her Immaculate Heart. She said to Lucia: "Jesus wants to establish devotion in the world to my Immaculate Heart." Our Lady also asked to pray the Rosary daily, and she added the Fatima prayer that we recite after the Glory Be, at the end of each mystery. In other apparitions, the Holy Virgin would stress to the children to pray for poor sinners. On July 13, Our Lady would give the children this short prayer: “Make sacrifices for sinners, and say often, especially while making a sacrifice: O Jesus, this is for love of Thee, for the conversion of sinners, and in reparation for offenses committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary." • June 12, 2021, Holy Rosary Today 7:30 pm ET, YouTube.com/TheRosaryNetwork • Audio Podcast available by 7:00 pm ET Today, June 12th is the Memorial Day of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Pope Pius XII instituted today's feast in 1944, consecrating the world to the pure heart of the Virgin Mother. The goal was to obtain by Mary's intercession "peace among nations, freedom for the Church, the conversion of sinners, the love of purity and the practice of virtue" (Decree of May 4, 1944). The love and virtues of the Heart of Mary along with the Sacred Heart of Jesus have been preached by many saints. The Co-Redemtrix and the Redeemer, Mother and Son's hearts, united by their boundless love to humanity. • June 11, 2021, Holy Rosary Today 7:30 pm ET, YouTube.com/TheRosaryNetwork • Audio Podcast available by 7:00 pm ET Today, June 11th is the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, a feast that permeates the entire month. The divine Heart of Jesus is our safe refuge in these confusing times. The mystery of God’s boundless love for humans is symbolized by the heart of Jesus. This devotion is found in the fathers of the Church, including St. Augustine. The feast has its origin in the private apparitions of Our Lord to the French nun St. Margaret Mary Alacoque in the 17th century. Later, in the 20th century, St Faustina Kowalska would receive the revelations of Jesus’ divine mercy. Popes and doctors of the Church have recognized the abundance of supernatural grace that flows from the heart of Jesus Christ. Ave Maria! • June 10, 2021, Holy Rosary Today 7:30 pm ET, YouTube.com/TheRosaryNetwork • Audio Podcast available by 7:00 pm ET Christians are — or should be — the salt and the light of the earth. As the light of the world, we are not conceived to be hidden. On the contrary: we are obliged to shine before others, indicating the right path towards the Heavenly Father. These all are words of Jesus to the apostles, that we read this week (Mt 5:13-16). In our modern society, dark forces push lost souls to set the idea that Christianity should be confined to private space. Ironically, this mindset is being imposed in the name of freedom. We know the outcome: when there isn’t light, there is darkness. It’s a universal, timeless truth: Jesus Christ is the Holy One, the Light of the World. And we are the ones who try to model our lives by imitating Him. Ave Maria! Jesus, I Trust In You! + Mikel A. | TheRosaryNetwork.org, New York
