Meanwhile, Martha's sister, Mary seats beside the Lord's feet, listening attentively to his words believing that he is eternal life. And Martha's brother Lazarus, who had died four days earlier, emerges from the tomb at the command of the Son of God. The three saints are evangelical witnesses of the infinite, supernatural power of Jesus Christ, the living God among us. Jesus tells Martha (John 11:19-27): "I am the resurrection and the life; whoever believes in me, even if he dies, will live, and anyone who lives and believes in me will never die." "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the Lord. This mismatch between our human ways and God’s disappoints many and even causes the loss of faith — the fruit of the first Glorious Mystery of today. This lack of faith means that they don’t trust the Divine will. That’s sad because the Eternal Father, in His infinite goodness and unconditional love, provides what really works for our salvation, not in our time, but in His time. We are surrounded by religious leaders who proclaim their words and follow their own agenda. With their behavior, many are discouraging witnesses. Mankind always has been in need of leaders.
