• March 29, 2021, Holy Rosary Today 7:30 pm ET, YouTube.com/TheRosaryNetwork • Audio Podcast available by 6:00 pm ET This Monday of Holy Week, while we examine our conscience, we read in the Scriptures the passage of Mary of Bethany anointing Jesus with costly perfume, and Judas the Iscariot reproaching her (Jn 12:1-11). Judas, the disciple who would betray Jesus, said: "Why was this oil not sold for three hundred days’ wages and given to the poor?" St. John the Evangelist explained: "He said this not because he cared about the poor but because he was a thief." Jesus Himself said: "You always have the poor with you, but you do not always have me." The Scriptures contain the full revelation of the universal truth. All human dysfunctionality and offenses to the Eternal Father are explained and exposed. Today, in the name of the poor, godless people are trying to engineer a new society. Like Judas, the Iscariot, many of these rulers, promoters of deceitful ideologies, are just denying the divinity of Jesus Christ — true man and true God. It’s been 365 days reciting the Holy Rosary, online, and in a group. Now, this humble initiative is being followed by thousands across all the states of the Union and 102 countries—mostly through Apple and Google’s Podcast, and Spotify. Also, YouTube’s daily broadcast gathers dozens of faithful Rosarians. We started on March 21st, 2020, in the midst of the pandemic, asking Our Lady of Fatima for her intervention and help in the global crisis and most importantly, in our personal lives. Anyone who started praying the Rosary in our community has graciously stayed. We’ve seen conversions and small miracles. The power of prayer is unimaginable. History, philosophy, and arts have spent centuries dissecting God. However, after much reflection and conflict, mankind doesn’t understand the Divinity. It might be that our pride and material interests cloud our judgment. Jesus Christ is the icon of God. Jesus’ words are the Father’s words and His deeds are the Father’s deeds—as we read in the Scriptures this Thursday. Twenty centuries ago, our Savior revealed this to the Jews (Jn 5:31-47), but they didn’t believe it. Like then, today Jesus and his faithful followers continue testifying the truth. Only a few accept it and behave accordingly. The vast majority continues playing games or worse, offending the Creator, as the Virgin Mary reminds it to us through her supernatural apparitions. Today, many religious orders and communities are placed under his patronage. St. Joseph was a "silent" man: no words of his were recorded in the Gospel. A paramount example of humility, as well as a model of strength, determination, and healthy masculinity—virtues much needed in today’s society. It is not by coincidence that we are living an exceptional year of St. Joseph, as we note every day on the Rosary. Declared patron and protector of the universal family of the Church, St. Joseph has been venerated by the great saints. He probably died before the beginning of Christ's public life.
